Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found at least one person suffering from a gunshot wound.
A second injured victim later arrived at hospital on their own, raising concerns that more individuals may have been involved or affected during the incident. One victim was transported by ambulance to St. Vincent’s Hospital, while the other arrived at Bridgeport Hospital via private vehicle. Officials have not yet released updates on their conditions or identities.
No arrests have been made, and investigators have not confirmed a motive. Police secured the area shortly after the shooting, blocking off sections of Beechwood Avenue as forensic teams collected evidence, including shell casings and potential surveillance footage from nearby homes and businesses. Detectives are also interviewing witnesses in an effort to reconstruct how the incident unfolded.
